What types of leases are available?
We have 12 installment leases (full term), and 10 or 5 installment leases (short term). The short term leases are limited, so you must be prompt to take advantage of them.
What floor plans are available?
We offer 2 bedroom/ 2 bath, 3 bedroom/ 3 bath, 4 bedroom/ 4 bath and a larger version of the 4 bedroom/ 4 bath that has a den instead of a hallway.
How close to campus are you?
We are the closest apartment community to campus, less than a mile away. According to Google Maps, the drive is 3 minutes and the walk is 14 minutes.
What is the cost?
Our community features individual leases, so the rates are per bedroom. There is an additional $50 charge per month for short term leases. Our full term rates starting in fall 2012 are: 2x2 - $589 3x3 - $515 4x4 - $505 4x4 Alternate- $509
Can I use my financial aid to pay rent?
Yes, we just require the first installment to be paid on time. For more information please contact our Resident Services and Accounting Manager at rsmnorman@edrtrust.com.
When can I move in?
We have standard move-in dates set for each semester; however we can allow you to move in on alternative dates based on our availability once all the leasing paperwork is complete and initial fees are paid.
What if I need to cancel my lease?
Once the lease is completed it cannot be cancelled, but you may allow someone else to take responsibility for the remainder of your lease. For help with a lease take-over please contact our Leasing and Marketing Manager at salesnorman@edrtrust.com.
Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Absolutely you can request specific apartments or roommates based on our availability. Keep in mind that preferences are first-come-first-serve and our community fills up quickly so don’t wait – call now!
Is parking available?
We have ample free parking for residents in our community. If you would like a little more protection or assurance of a reserved spot, you can rent a specific carport spot for $30 a month.
What utilities are included in my rent?
All of your utilities are included in the monthly installment so you make one payment for everything. Also, you won’t have to pay a deposit on any of the utilities. Here is a list of what we provide: • Water • Trash Service • Internet in each bedroom • Extended Basic Cable in all rooms • Electricity ($30 cap per bedroom)
When do I put down a deposit?
If you decide to not take advantage of our Guarantor program you will have to pay a deposit (completely refundable pending move out charges) equal to three (3) months of rent before you move in.
Can I pay rent with a credit card?
Yes you can pay with a credit card online, just go to our website and click the “Pay Rent” banner at the top. There is a small convenience fee for payments made online.
Do I have a meal plan?
Since our facility is an off-campus apartment community, we do not offer meal plans, but you do have a full kitchen with all major appliances provided. If you don’t cook then check out our website, there is a map that shows restaurants near our community with directions.
How many people live there?
Every year the total number varies slightly, but our community has 204 apartments that can accommodate up to 612 residents.
Will you send me a bill each month for rent?
We do not mail out any type of invoice or billing – residents are responsible for paying rent in a timely manner without demand from our office, but we do typically post reminders throughout the community when it is time to pay rent.
If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?
To avoid paying the security deposit, you must have a Guarantor or Co-Signer, regardless of age. Either way you choose to go, we must have your financial backing secured before you can pick up keys and move in.
What size are the beds?
The beds are extended full size. They are as wide as a full and as long as a queen. Queen or full size sheets will work.
Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?
Although our apartments are fully furnished, you are welcome to add your own furniture. Keep in mind you will not be able to remove our furniture from the apartment.
What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?
All you need is a computer; each bedroom has a modem with Ethernet cord and USB cord for connection. To use the wireless internet available in the clubhouse you will need a computer with a wireless card installed. We also have a computer lab available for residents to use during office hours.
When does the shuttle go to campus?
Our shuttle runs when University of Oklahoma classes are in session. Monday through Friday the shuttle runs every half hour from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm. The shuttle drops residents off in the South Oval, the heart of campus. When class is not in session the shuttle runs by request from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
